1967 Aston Martin DB6
A concours-level restoration of one of Britain’s most iconic grand tourers, returned to its original specification: the hand-formed aluminium body repaired, the Tadek Marek twin-cam rebuilt, the chassis and suspension overhauled, and a bare-metal respray in the original Silver Birch.

The work
Aluminium Bodywork Repair
The hand-formed aluminium outer panels were carefully straightened and repaired by specialist panel beaters, with corroded sections re-created using traditional coachbuilding techniques and TIG-welded into place. Panel gaps and profiles were re-set by eye before the shell moved to paint.
Engine Rebuild to Factory Spec
The 4.0-litre (3,995cc) Tadek Marek twin-cam straight-six was completely stripped and rebuilt with new bearings, pistons, and valvetrain components. The triple carburettors were rebuilt and balanced, feeding tubular exhaust manifolds. Engine and gearbox were reunited and installed as a unit.
Chassis & Suspension Overhaul
The chassis was stripped, inspected, and treated before refinishing. Independent coil-and-wishbone front suspension and the coil-sprung live rear axle were rebuilt with new bushes, dampers, and correct-specification springs, retaining the Armstrong Selectaride driver-adjustable rear dampers for period-accurate ride control.
Paintwork & Finishing
Bare-metal respray in the original Silver Birch. Multiple coats of primer, colour, and lacquer were hand-flatted and polished to a deep mirror finish worthy of concours presentation, a standard echoed in the detailing of the fully finished underside.
